This picture was taken by Wayne, a friends brother ..... It`s the hill next to our house (Grenoble, France), we live the other side about 500m away. The fire has been burning for about 3 weeks! and an emcampent of firemen including 4 large tents, 3 40ft tankers of water and about a dozen small fire trucks for getting into the trees, has been established. ALL of the upper part is now scorched black and several roads closed. It was started by lightening and amazingly NONE of the adjacent hills have been effected. I think it`s out now thanks to 2days of rain.
